Athlete Support Fund 50/50 Raffle

  1. 1. Tickets

    Tickets may be sold and purchased only in British Columbia.

    Ticket purchasers must be 19 years of age or older.

  2. 2. 50/50

    BC Gaming Event Licence #132462

    3 for $5.00; 2988 tickets
    7 for $10.00; 5999 tickets
    50 for $20.00; 10000 tickets
    150 for $50.00; 4500 tickets

    The 50/50 is a draw where the money received in ticket sales is divided evenly between the winner and the charity.

    Maximum 50/50 payout will be $9,525.00.

  3. 3. Important Dates & Draw Information

    Deadline
    Final ticket sales deadline: April 3, 2022 at 11:00:00 a.m. PDT

    Draw
    50/50 draw: April 3, 2022 at 12:00:00 p.m. PDT

    Draw will be held at Twin Rinks Arena, 5625 Tyson Road, Chilliwack, BC V2R 3R6

    The winning ticket is drawn using Random Number Generator software (RNG). 

    All members of the public are welcome to attend the draw.

    Winners will be posted online at https://skatinginbc.rafflenexus.com/winners on April 3, 2022.

  4. 4. Winner

    Winner will be contacted by phone by the Skate Canada – British Columbia/Yukon Section.

    Winners consent to release of their names by licensee.

    If a winning ticket bears a minor's name, the prize will be lawfully delivered to the minor's parent, legal guardian or trustee.

    No tickets will be purchased by the Board of Directors of the Skate Canada – British Columbia/Yukon Section or employees involved with the conduct and management of the ticket raffle.

    Skate Canada – British Columbia/Yukon Section does not sell, rent or exchange any personal information collected from our supporters with any other organization or entity. Learn more

Cause

Since 1997 the Athlete Support Fund has supported provincial athletes with scholastic bursaries to advance their education while remaining active in figure skating.  $70,000 has been distributed to athletes in the past 24 years. 

Athletes who have achieved recognition as a BC/YK Provincial team member are eligible to apply for an educational bursary if they are currently enrolled in a scholastic secondary or post-secondary program and will continue their studies in the following school year. 

Your purchase of a 50/50 raffle ticket is a contribution to our provincial skaters towards their educational pursuits.
